FAQs
Providence Glass & Mirror, LLC
What thicknesses of glass do you offer?
We provide two primary thickness options for frameless shower door glass: 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch. The choice depends on the shower's dimensions. Wider showers require 1/2 inch glass for adequate support, while narrower ones can use 3/8 inch glass to reduce costs without compromising stability. Generally, glass panes 72 inches or less in width can use 3/8 inch thickness. For more details about our custom glass and mirror options, please contact our local team. What are the differences between clips and channels?
Both clips and channels have their advantages and disadvantages. Channels hold the glass and create a slight frame effect, but require less caulking maintenance. Clips, on the other hand, showcase more glass and offer enhanced structural integrity, though they come at a higher price point. If you're considering frameless glass shower doors, we encourage you to reach out to us at Providence Glass & Mirror LLC to discuss these options in more detail.Do you sell low-iron glass?
Yes, we offer low-iron glass in addition to regular clear glass. Our standard clear glass has a green tint on the edges, while our low-iron glass, which contains less lead, features a crystal-clear blue edge color. The low-iron option is available at a premium price. For high-quality, low-iron frameless glass shower doors, please contact us for more information.Do you provide free estimates?
We do offer free estimates for our custom glass and mirror products. To schedule an appointment, you can call us directly or submit a request through our website for a prompt callback. What are your lead times?
Our typical lead time ranges from seven to 14 business days, starting from the date of payment to the day we receive the glass. Once your glass arrives, we'll contact you to schedule your installation appointment. If you're in need of a new glass shower door, please don't hesitate to contact us.Do you offer any discounts?
We extend a 10% discount on custom glass and mirror orders to seniors, veterans, and first responders. Are your services on a first-come-first-serve basis?
